My name is John Kay I've been fly fishing for 20+ years and tying flies for a good 16+ of those years.
I fish Stillwater, reservoir and river for grayling, rainbow and brown trout and specialise in tying flies for these species and types of water.
Fly tying for me is just as much a passion as fishing is and I love to tie traditional,modern and my own design flies from tiny dry fly to large lures and everything in between, regularly testing my own patterns on the wild and stocked fish of NE England and as far afield as possible.
