I was born and bred in Barnoldswick a smalll town on the Yorkshire / Lancashire border. Shortly after I retired we moved to Silloth on Solway in North Cumbria where we have lived since 2005. I started tying flies in 1988 at the age of 47 so a late starter.I joined the Flydressers Guild at a newly formed branch in Barnoldswick the same year and serverd as secretary for several years. Although I live here in Cumbria I am still a member of Pendle Branch Flydressers Guild in Barnoldswick. Now aged 75 I still get a Lot of pleasure from my hobby and enjoy all aspects of fly tying and still look for improvement in the end results! I shall be tying on the Flydressers Guild stand at the Fly Fest this year and hope to meet like minded people so please look out for the guild stand and come and say hello!!
