I have been fly fishing and tying my own flies for more than 25 years, and over the years, your focus shifts, and so has mine.
I started out, exclusively fishing for trout and grayling, tying only flies for dry fly and nymph fishing, then later on, i began fishing and tying for seatrout in the western streams of DK, and began tying seatrout stream flies, then i widened my hunting grounds to the shores of east jutland and funen, where the sea trout fishing is great almost all year round. Nowadays, i have taken up salmon fishing, both in DK and abroad, and has fallen in love, with the traditional fly tying methods and patterns from back in time....
My vision for the future is to renew classic fly tying with new fresh patterns, that are influenced by the modern scandinavian style of flies tied on tubes, with hair or zonker wings. Trying to transform these new patterns, so they end up looking like classics, in a new trendy look excites me, and will be the focus of my tying during the show.....
